The team
Our clients’ Digital Tax team comprises both Tax and Technology subject matter experts, working in tandem to transform and automate business processes across areas such as corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and goods and services tax. Using a combination of off-the-shelf applications and bespoke products, they provide effective digital solutions to ease the burden of manual processes so that efforts can instead be channeled into navigating the modern-day Tax landscape.
The role
- Supervise a team of developers in meeting project objectives.
- Comprehend clients’ business challenges and identify opportunities for integrating technology solutions.
- Determine suitable technology solutions and oversee their design, development, and implementation.
- Collaborate with the company’s IT department.
- Coordinate projects within the Tax Technology team.
- Assist in supporting dedicated market offerings for tax technology and transformation.
Skills and attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience at a senior support level.
- Experience in project coordination.
- Familiarity with formal Project Management Methodologies (e.g., Prince2, Six Sigma) is highly advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent customer management and interpersonal skills.
- Supervisory experience.
- Proficient time management skills.
- Ability to adapt to change.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to communicate with senior management.
Advantageous Experience/Skills
- Programming proficiency in Python, C++, Java, Visual Basic, or Google AppScript.
- Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
- Experience with data science tools like Alteryx, Dataiku, or MS Power Query.
- Knowledge of data visualization software like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
- Understanding of Windows operating system and application software including Word, Excel, and Visio.
- Basic understanding of database technologies such as MS SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or MS Access databases.
