Location – London (open to flexible working)
We’ve got an exciting opportunity to join our client’s Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”) tax team, working within their International Transaction Tax Service (ITTS), who are recognised as being leaders in cross border M&A. You will be working with some of the largest corporations in the world across a range of sectors, advising them on tax aspects of their M&A deals over the course of the deal lifecycle.
You will be working with some of the sector leading Partners who are well known and respected in the market. You’ll also be working within a high performing, entrepreneurial and innovative team who have advised on many high profile, market leading and transformational transactions over the past few years.
It is a great time to join the M&A tax team who have expanded exponentially in recent years and are continuing to do so. With a number of disrupting factors in the market at the moment, you’ll be at the forefront of helping clients to navigate change on an international scale.
The role
In this team, you will get wide-ranging experience in all the core tax areas of the M&A deal cycle, including tax structuring, sell and buy side tax due diligence, funds flows, SPA reviews and refinancings.
As M&A tax advisers, team members not only get good UK tax technical experience but also a commercial understanding of what is important to clients in a deal context. As a large part of the work is cross-border, you will also be exposed to international structuring techniques and overseas tax regimes.
Our client is currently looking to expand their Corporate M&A tax team to continue to drive growth and are keen to speak with experienced Tax Advisors. Previous M&A experience is not a pre-requisite for this role – they would consider candidates with a broad-based corporation tax background.
Key responsibilities
You will contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of M&A tax services to the client, building and maintaining relationships with clients to provide high levels of client service. You’ll contribute to winning new work by proactively managing existing clients and ensuring technical excellence and a practical/business focus approach.

To qualify for the role you must have
- Background in corporate tax, with some demonstrable a tax advisory experience helpful
- You’ll have one of the following qualifications: ATT / ACA / CA / CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA)
- Strong technical skills and keen to develop further
