The role
Our client is looking for a Microsoft Power Platform Developer that can help them design, develop and release innovative tax and finance applications to the market quickly.
Microsoft Power Platform offers a unique opportunity for tax and finance teams to achieve an accelerated digitalization of their functions but whilst avoiding the technology and implementation costs normally associated with this process.
Our client is working closely with Microsoft as a key strategic Alliance partner in this space to ensure that they stay ahead of the latest Power Platform functionality and features so they can bring the best of available technology to clients.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the firm’s Clients and colleagues to develop technical solutions that are resilient, scalable and manageable
- Use Microsoft Power Platform technologies to innovate and offer solutions to the challenges the firm’s clients face from new and existing regulatory requirements
- Own the roadmap and development of Power Apps, Power Automate workflows and Power BI dashboards which meet the needs of tax and finance departments
- Work alongside the developers of the firm’s other technology to ensure the applications are complimentary and interact appropriately
- Work with Microsoft as our client’s key strategic alliance partner to align on activities and roadmaps

Skills and attributes
As the lead Power Platform developer, you should have relevant experience in technology consulting and collaboration working with a variety of types of clients. Our client is not prescriptive about the sectors you have experience working with, as long as you are eager to learn and use the best approach for solving the problems faced by tax and finance teams.
Education and Training
- University degree in Computer Science and/or Business Administration (Finance, Accounting, Engineering)
- Minimum of Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900) – Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Virtual Agent
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) and Dynamics 365 (MB-901) certifications are highly desirable
Skills and Experience
- A work attitude that is empathetic, humble, motivated, and adaptable (see above)
- An excellent understanding of Microsoft technologies and how clients can derive value from those technologies
- 5+ years of technology consulting / development experience
- Experience of implementing Microsoft Power Platform for clients
- Experience of working with clients on a range of activities: requirements gathering, fit/gap analysis, solution design, prototyping, testing, integration, data migration, training, demonstrations, and post ‘go live’ support
- Ability to design and develop impactful visual reports and dashboards
Desirable attributes
- Experience working with Rest APIs
- Experience working with databases.
- Experience deploying web applications on large cloud-based services provider (e.g. AWS / Azure) and familiar with the underlying architecture
- Understanding of NoSQL database technologies (e.g. MongoDB)
- Set up and use of virtual environments and sandboxes
