The role
The GST division is a prominent GST service provider in Singapore well-known for its strong expertise and profound understanding of various industries. The range of services provided by the GST unit encompass GST consultation, assessment of the Assisted Compliance Assurance Program, evaluation of the Assisted Self Help Kit, preparation and assessment of GST returns, thorough GST investigations, and comprehensive GST training. As a team member, you’ll have the chance to not only expand your technical proficiency and innovative thinking but also face the rewarding task of serving as a dependable GST and corporate consultant.
Key responsibilities
Your role will involve overseeing the effective execution of GST projects, adopting a skilled, pragmatic, and business-oriented methodology while upholding high technical standards. You will need to provide expert guidance, both in written form and through direct communication, regarding how GST influences clients’ supply chains and financial and accounting frameworks. Additionally, you’ll identify and manage potential GST-related risks, offer insights to clients about the GST consequences of transactions, and support their adherence to GST guidelines. Alongside this, you will be responsible for cultivating and sustaining client relationships, and fostering the growth of individuals by adeptly overseeing, guiding, and nurturing staff members.

- Sound technical knowledge in GST through advising on complex GST issues and establishing best practice

To qualify for the role you must have
- A degree in economics, finance, tax or accounting; a CPA or similar certification
- Minimum 6 years (8 years for Senior Manager) of work experience in a professional services or professional tax organization dealing indirect tax matters
- Hands-on experience for complex GST technical review
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Strong drive to excel professionally, and to guide and motivate others
- Independent in managing own workload, ability to work under pressure and to keep things moving and to juggle multiple tasks
- Excellent team player
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience working in multicultural teams
- Accreditation by SCTP
