Corporate Tax Manager

Location – London, UK


The role

Over the past few years, our client has expanded in the UK and Internationally with a small
dedicated professional team based out of London. The international expansion has been
both organic and through M&A and there is a significant pipeline of acquisitions expected
to close in the foreseeable future. The International team has now reached a point where
a Corporate Tax Manager is required to support the growing portfolio of businesses.


The role would require candidates to deliver on annual and quarterly reporting deadlines,
assist in the preparation of UK Tax Returns for the UK Group in addition to supporting the
new acquired entities to integrate into an end-to-end high-quality financial function. This
role would have visibility with both the client’s International management team in the UK
and in the US.

Key responsibilities

  • Preparation and review of UK tax computations and tax provision calculations.
  • Review of international quarterly and year-end tax provision calculations (IFRS and US
    GAAP)
  • Overview and preparation of tax disclosures in Group statutory accounts.
  • Exposure to UK tax issues such as CIR, CFC, R&D, Group Payment Arrangement etc
  • Liaise with queries from HMRC and external third-party advisors.
  • Work with our client’s finance team on international tax reforms and overseas tax compliance.
  • Oversight of the International Transfer Pricing Methodology and documentation.
  • Manage information requests from external accounting firms on ad hoc projects.
  • Support integration of newly acquired AP’s into our client’s system.


Skills and attributes

  • Professional accounting qualification ACA / ACCA /CTA
  • 2/3 years PQE in UK Corporate Tax environment.
  • Ability to deal with tax in a commercial context
  • Proven ability to effectively perform independently in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Detail orientated and ability to priorities key issues
  • Knowledge of Tax software required as well as Advanced Microsoft Office skill (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Understanding or have an interest in Insurance broking and the economic environment
