Tax Manager


Location – Leicester, UK

The role                           

This role would be suited to an ACA or CTA-qualified individual with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in a private client or OMB tax advisory team, managing workflow and ensuring deadlines are met. The successful candidate will also be able to build strong relationships, project manage tax advisory work, develop junior staff, provide excellent client service and identify business development opportunities. 

Key responsibilities

  • Project manage tax advisory work, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are met. 
  • Provide technical support to junior members of the team, using tax legislation, HMRC guidance and case law, with support from the tax partners. 
  • Managing and communicating with key stakeholders such as accountants, lawyers, financial advisors and other professionals regarding client matters. 
  • Ensuring that clients are kept up to date on the progress of the project. 
  • Performing a first-level review of project advisory work, prior to partner review. 
  • Lead by example with client relationships, technical quality and service delivery. 
  • Being involved in business development and proposal activity. 
  • Managing teams and coaching and developing staff.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Strong educational background (preferably 2:1 or higher University degree) 
  • ACA or CTA qualified with a strong private client or OMB tax advisory experience and a minimum of 2 years PQE.
