Location – Ashford/Remote (open to flexible working)
The Associate Director is responsible for the development of new business for the company and to provide support to our client’s R&D partners. This will involve creating new business opportunities directly with businesses and developing a portfolio of referrers, helping them to access cash for innovation for their clients mostly via the R&D tax credit scheme. Must be able to develop a good working relationship with clients, accountants and other partners.
You should be self-motivated and truly believe that team working is the only way to deliver fantastic customer service. You must feel comfortable taking personal responsibility for achieving company-wide business targets and be able to work under competing work pressures. Good spoken and written English skills are needed along with the ability to use a CRM system, Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Full time 35 hours a week by arrangement.
- Some ‘out of hours’ working may be required
- Holiday arrangements are 27 days a year to include 3 or 4 days between Christmas and New Year
- Reporting to the Sales Director
Key responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities
- Build and maintain client and partner relationships
- Represent the company at key events
- Leverage other platforms and services to achieve ‘new business’ targets
- Work with the Client team to ensure the clients receive the best client journey, and support the internal events programme by networking, attending events and building strong business relationships with clients and partners
- Identify new marketing opportunities and refer to the Sales Director
- Update the CRM system systematically
- Work with the Senior Management Team to ensure business development targets are met
- Maintain a professional image at all times
